I am honored to have been nominated for the Secretary Position within HNS. I previously served as a Member-at-Large for HNS and was active in implementing the website, assisting with development of the mentorship program, and with organizing social activities at conferences. I have been a member of HNS since 2006 and have watched it grow over the years as an organization that advocates for the need for culturally-competent neuropsychological assessment practices.
I am a board-certified neuropsychologist and Director of Pacific Neurobehavioral Clinic, PC, a private practice in San Diego, CA. I mainly perform clinical and civil forensic evaluations with adults, and my specialties are with traumatic brain injuries, cerebrovascular accidents, and dementia. I also supervise a team of mostly bilingual clinicians who offer psychotherapy services to adults within the community. I am also an active member of AACN, NAN, INS, CPA, and am currently serving as Treasurer for the neuropsychology division of California Psychological Association (CPA Division 8).
As Secretary, I hope to support to currently outstanding Board in furthering their goals, contribute my input as a clinician in private practice, and work towards the continued growth of HNS’ membership body. Thank you for considering me for the position of Secretary.
