On behalf of the Awards and Fellows Task Force of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society, we would like to announce the following two student awards – an APPIC Internship Fees award and a Student Research Grant. Submissions for both are due October 11th.
The Internship Fees Award is designed to provide financial assistance to two outstanding student members of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society applying for the 2020-2021 APPIC Internship Match. Awardees will receive $600 each to subsidize both internship registration and application costs.
The Student Research Grant award is designed to support the research of one student member of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society with a $1,000 award. A $500 award can be used for the following: student research that addresses cross-cultural issues or clinical materials needed for evaluation of Hispanics (i.e. Spanish language testing materials). The remaining $500 can be used toward travel to a conference, where the student will be expected to present their research as a poster and/or during the HNS business meeting at the National Academy of Neuropsychology in November 2019.
